Motor Oil
I had a 572 big block engine, 750 hp. I made a fatal mistake, I am old school, thinking the most expensive oil and thicker oil was better, I was using Kendal gt1 racing oil, my engine got a knock very soon. The thinner oil get's circulated easily, the thicker oil could not lube the engine because of the tight tolerances.
So now run synthetic 5-23
this problem also caused to a new 350 gm engine.

I am a Penn Grade 1 10W30 man myself. It’s the former Brad Penn oil, which is itself the old green Kendal 1, with a synthetic additive package and the ZDDP needed for flat tappet cams. The base stock is still refined in Bradford, Pennsylvania at the former Kendal refinery. Clings nicely to the rockers and other parts over the winter. I really zing my six cylinders pretty good, stuff does the job for me.
